The challenge

Leafy sells home-ready plants online — a catalog of living products that customers want to see, compare, and buy with confidence. The brand had a healthy assortment and a story worth telling, but growth had plateaued. The goal was simple to state and harder to deliver: grow revenue across the plant catalog profitably, without pouring money into clicks that never turned into orders.

Plant e-commerce is unforgiving. Shipping is fragile, margins are thin, and shoppers browse widely before they commit. To move the needle, Leafy needed to reach people at the exact moment they were ready to buy, while still building demand further up the funnel.

What we did

We are a Google Partner with more than ten years running paid campaigns, and we leaned on that experience to build a plan around intent. The core was paid search: Google Ads campaigns paired with a clean Google Shopping product feed so that Leafy's listings surfaced for high-intent queries. Shopping ads put the right plant, price, and photo in front of buyers who were already searching — capturing high-intent demand at a lower cost per click than broad, untargeted spend.

Around that intent-capture engine, we ran paid social for discovery — introducing Leafy to new audiences who were not yet searching by name and giving the brand a reason to be remembered. Then we closed the loop with remarketing, bringing back visitors who browsed the catalog but did not check out on their first visit. Every stage fed the next: social created awareness, search and Shopping converted it, and remarketing recovered the shoppers who slipped away.

Throughout, we watched the numbers that actually matter — cost per click, return on ad spend, and repeat purchases — and shifted budget toward what performed. No guesswork, no vanity metrics.

The results

The program compounded quickly. Online sales climbed +124%, driven by the combination of high-intent search and a well-structured Shopping feed. Visibility grew alongside revenue, with monthly search impressions up +90% as Leafy showed up for far more of the queries that matter. And the gains stuck: returning customers rose +110%, a sign that Leafy was not just buying one-off orders but building a base of shoppers who came back.

"Our volume of sales has grown substantially. Site traffic increased fourfold. The graphs look like a mountain because they shoot straight up."

That is the outcome we aim for on every engagement: growth you can see in the graph and feel in the bank. If you want to read more stories like this one, see more case studies — or start with the services that powered Leafy's growth, paid search and paid social.
